Audio Out Jacks v4.25

Newbie here! Could someone please give some examples of how you would use the different Audio Out Jack configurations? How you would connect Vent II to HX3 and other example uses.
Also, Rotary L/R and Rotary R/L are listed two times on the Audio Out Jacks list on Page 8 of the HX3 vers. 4.25 manual. Is there a difference between them or is that a typo?
